About Ping's Sichuan Kitchen
PING’S SICHUAN KITCHEN Taste of Home
Nestled in the beautiful mountain city of Chongqing lies an enchanting old street, where time flows gently and the air is filled with countless memories of flavor. I grew up on this street, captivated by the aromas wafting from kitchens and the magic of transforming simple ingredients into extraordinary meals. My fondest memories are of watching my grandmother craft mouthwatering dishes with love and care.
This journey deepened my appreciation for traditional cuisine, teaching me that food is so much more than nourishment. It is a bridge that connects generations, carries stories, and conveys love. At Ping's Sichuan Kitchen, we strive to bring you this connection—an authentic taste of home.

Wow, Ping’s is LEGIT!!! I got the garlic cucumber appetizer and Ping’s Fish & Tofu. The cucumbers were smashed with a ton of garlic, salt, and sesame oil. Soooo good!!! I ordered the fish and tofu extra spicy. It was very tasty, numbing, and huge! I get a sense of care and generosity in each of these dishes. Things come out when they’re ready, which shows they’re focused on each dish. All the stuff coming out was gorgeous and large portions. The restaurant is bright, clean, and new. I love good Sichuan and Ping’s nails it!!!

It’s in a nice area, the food is very well priced compared to the amount of food you get. Most plates are shareable if you just want a quick bite. Service was amazing, carbonated drinks were super carbonated and clean, dinnerware was clean as well, the food did look like the menu photos, and the flavor was genuinely authentic to Chinese food from Japan, with real Szechuan peppers. All in all an amazing food experience, had to tip the staff well for everything. It was slow when we went in but my god I would wait 2 hours for this food.

Beautiful small place. Waitress was very nice. It was beautiful very clean. The food was magnificent I got mixed lo mein, easy spicy which I would compare to original hot wings from wing stop. Very very good My friend got beef and broccoli medium spicy which he would compare it to Serrano pepper heat. Which he said was excellent. We got water which was a good choice. I do enjoy spicy but even the easy was like non stop spicy. Keeps your mouth hot and is good but at some point I had to stop haha. Please give it a try

The food here was absolutely delicious! Every dish we tried was packed with flavor and prepared perfectly. It’s easily one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. If you are looking for a spot that consistently delivers on taste, this is it. I’ll definitely be coming back for more!

I’ve tried so many Sichuan restaurant and I can say that Ping’s has the best authenthic Sichuan food in San Antonio!! We ordered the Cumin Beef, Hui Guo Rou, and the Dan Dan Noodles. I liked that they gave you choices to select the spice levels, so we can still enjoy our food without being overwhelmed with the “heat”. The chinese traditional music they played was very calming too! I feel like I was actually in Sichuan, China. The restroom was clean, and the service was top notch! All the waitress were kind, attentive, and also cute!! lol We’re coming back for sure!
